The Law of Attraction: Letting Go of Clock Time

Those new to the path of healing through energy/vibration will often say, "I've been doing this 'x amount of time', and nothing much has changed."

Whether it's money, health, or relationships, it's a common mistake to put a timeline on things, and then experience disappointment.

The thoughts and feelings you have, on any subject, indicate your vibrational set points... whatever you've attracted, or are attracting, up until now reflect those frequencies.

If you want to change the results you're seeing in your life, then you have to change your innermost thoughts and feelings... your innermost frequencies.

Doing the inner work means you have to learn to stay rooted in the now, and CONSISTENTLY hold a new frequency for long enough to see a new result manifest, whether in terms of your health, a positive shift in a relationship, or greater financial and spiritual abundance...

Always remember, your life is playing out according to the dominant frequencies you hold within. To change the results you are experiencing, you have to be able to identify and change the frequencies you're holding.

Life is always changing but if you keep unconsciously choosing the same thoughts, then you might believe that life is relatively static. If you stagnate, then life stagnates. The river no longer flows, it becomes ice...

Learn to flow again by becoming aware of your inner frequencies, and consciously changing them as life takes you down different pathways... allow changes to happen through you, spontaneously and effortlessly.

It is your own resistance to change that keeps you stuck, nothing else.

When you step onto the healing path, remember this at all times: results do not manifest according to man-made 'clock time', they manifest in 'vibrational time', when all the vibrational aspects line up. Your job is keep focused and alert to your thoughts and feelings/emotions, the Universe will take care of the rest.

So, give your undivided attention to the now, and keep fine tuning the frequencies of your life!

That's the way to have the most fun, playing this Game we call Life.

Are you content with your lot?

Many self development gurus, usually those exclusively focused on the goal of making more money, perpetuate the false idea that 'your income always reflects how you see yourself,' but this is an overly simplistic view of reality and, if you buy into this belief, you may actually magnify any sense of lack you may feel already.

Truly, it is your feeling of contentment or discontentment that reflects how you see yourself, which actually has very little to do with how much you earn. You may have little, in terms of material wealth, but feel happy and at peace. Conversely, you may have a lot materially speaking but feel unhappy and restless.

Beyond a certain amount of prosperity, the need to earn more is often driven by the ego's fragmented sense of self - yet no amount of money will be enough to 'complete you', and make you feel whole. Money and material goods may bring a temporary sense of contentment, freedom and even power, but they cannot sustain it.

Only a connection to one's spiritual self will bring true and lasting peace, and the ability to enjoy money and material goods when they do come.

If you are in love with life, enjoying what you have, and sharing it with others whenever you can, then you are truly prosperous in both heart and mind.

If you do find you want more in terms of material wealth, there is nothing 'wrong' in that. However, you will allow greater abundance to flow into your experience by understanding and applying the power of gratitude.

True and lasting prosperity can only be found in the celebration of the eternal NOW.

The right use of breath to maintain health

“Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment.” Thich Nhat Hanh

Instructions on the right use of breath to maintain health, and even help when dis-ease has already manifested in the body:

Sit, or lie down, and begin to become aware of your breath... notice the rise and fall of your belly, just below the navel centre. Beginners often find it easier to lie down.

Breathe in by drawing the breath all the way down into the lower abdomen, below the navel. Once the lower portion is filled, draw the breath to up into the middle portion of the chest, and then finally the upper chest. Imagine your lungs like two balloons filling up...

Imagine the flow of the breath like the tide coming in...

Then breathe out in the same way, releasing the breath from all three sections/portions of the lungs... like the tide going out. Ideally, with practice, the breath should be smooth and continuous.

This, in yogic circles, is known as 'the complete breath'.  Today, those people who wish to master yoga, have to master control of their breath.

Many dis-eases of mind and body will clear up simply through the right use of breath over time. The so-called 'civilized man' is totally ignorant of this - the adoption of bad posture and breathing habits has done more to create ill-health in the body/mind than anything else.

A return to correct breathing (as babies and animals naturally do), will help the world return to a state of health and wholeness.

Once you have mastered the complete breath, the next stage of this is to link the breath to the rhythm of your own heart beat, and this is called 'rhythmic breathing'.

[Caution to beginners: practice slowly and build up. Start with 10 to 20 breaths during any one session. Do this for 30 days to notice results.

Practise on an empty stomach, so before breakfast, for example.

The daily practice of deep breathing will most likely release a lot of 'stuck energy' in the body, and will most likely lead to physical, emotional and mental detoxification. You may, depending on your energy construct, experience temporary healing side-effects such as nausea and/or headaches; this is a natural part of the energy system 'throwing off' unwanted blockages. Drink plenty of water.]

Are you complaining, or just 'being real'?

Question: "If someone is unhappy about something, talks about it, is it complaining or stating how you are feeling?"

[This was asked in relation to the quote: ''A thankful person is thankful under all circumstances. A complaining soul complains even in paradise.']

Answer:

Complaining can be defined as a continual inner resistance to 'what is' showing up in your life. Often, the resistance is accompanied by continual negative thoughts about a particular person and/or situation, and a repetitive voicing of that negativity to anyone who will listen.

Many people, most often through a lack of awareness, find much to complain about.. from the weather, to their job, their partner, their family, their lack of money, their lack of health...and, underpinning all of this, usually lies a deep unhappiness and resentment towards some, many or all of the circumstances and conditions of their life.

Let's be honest here... complaining (talking incessantly about what we don't want/like in our lives) doesn't change anything. In fact, it magnifies it!

So, we are invited not to magnify our state of unhappiness by dwelling on unhappy circumstances, continually thinking and talking about them.

Thought produces experience, which produces thought, which produces experience...

The above question shows much wisdom in that if we find we are unhappy about something/someone, we must surely admit that to ourselves to be able to change our state of being.

Recognition of one's internal state is vital to changing it. Denial, or pretending to be happy, does not serve us - and, in fact, this type of 'positive thinking' is not positive at all!

Pretending to be happy does more harm than good, and is a result of misunderstanding the law of vibration.

Yet, if we continually say we are unhappy, to ourselves and others, and we do not seek to change that energy, we can fall into the trap of complaining, which will perpetuate the state of unhappiness. It is Law.

We must seek to change our circumstances by becoming the witness of the Self. This inner awareness breaks the cycle, and allows us to think a new thought, feel a new emotion, and take action from a resultant shift in perspective.

When we find ourselves in a state of resistance, we must immediately ask, 'what do I really want here?' and move from that new awareness. We must learn to use the contrasting experiences of our lives to go upwards in consciousness, rather than going around in a vicious circle.

When we resist anything, we unwittingly root it in place - and the law of attraction/vibration has no judgment. It gives us more of the same!

Money won't make you happy, but neither will a lack of money.

Seed Mandala
Seed Mandala
copyright: http://almaearth.blogspot.com/
When you want something and can't have it due to a perceived lack of money, you don't feel good. That's the bottom line!

It's true that you can evolve your consciousness to the point where you don't 'need' as much, and therefore experience more inner contentment. However, 'dumbing down' your desires because you can't manifest what you really want points to a lack of mastery, and is not a 'spiritual quality' to be proud of.

Usually when we want more abundance in our lives, we have to grow in consciousness to allow that flow of wealth in. In truth, we have to recognise all the ways we are abundant right now, whilst looking to create ways to let more money and happiness flow into our experience.

The most disempowering thing I hear from earnest seekers on the spiritual path is that many Enlightened Beings were poor, and they often point to Jesus and Buddha. There is a sponsoring thought that, somehow, there is virtue in poverty.

There is none!

There is nothing virtuous about 'being poor', and scraping by.

Of course, on the other hand, having material wealth does not bestow any virtue to us either! It can be a mental prison, locking us into the warped idea that we are somehow 'better' than all the other less-materially-abundant people around us.

So many ill-educated people continually compare themselves to others - and judge others if they don't 'measure up' to certain standards, which are ironically defined by a less-than-enlightened culture/society.

Yet that doesn't mean we shouldn't have material wealth.

When you you are materially abundant AND aware of your inner riches also, then you understand that the 'law of circulation' can be used to materially and spiritually bless others. You also will enjoy what you have, and stop the negative comparison to others. You may observe that others have less, or more, than you - but you will stop making judgments about them, and yourself!

Material manifestation is part of the spiritual path, make no mistake. There is no separation between the two aspects (material/spiritual) of Creation except in our minds. We are split inside ourselves because of erroneous teachings which have been passed down.

If materialization of our 'spirit' wasn't meant to be, then we wouldn't be here as incarnated souls.

The choice isn't being 'material' OR 'spiritual'. We are here to embrace both material AND spiritual. To live in matter, but not be overly attached to the illusion. It is a question of discernment.

When you have money, you can provide for yourself -- you learn to manifest, and stop having 'root chakra' imbalances around money/security. You can also provide for your family (spouse and children), and if truly recognise your abundant nature, you will demonstrate loving kindness by giving to those less fortunate, and to organizations who are seeking to change many great imbalances in this world. You may even start your own business which employs others and gives them an opportunity to use their gifts in this world.

There are many good things you can do with money - and you can't do certain things if you don't have money. Our world relies upon the exchange of currency to move energy. If you don't have 'enough money', then your personal energy is stuck, and it will feel limiting and/or frustrating.

When you see others having money, or enjoying money, does it trigger your perception of lack, and your judgments that that life is unfair? Do you have thoughts that 'money doesn't grow on trees' and other limiting beliefs?

Do you lash out at others who have lots of money? Do you resent those who are enjoying life, when you are not?

Do you equate earning money with 'hard work', and 'proving yourself'?

What are you beliefs about money and material wealth? Now would be a good time to revisit them, if life is not showing up as you would like it to, and if you are struggling to make ends meet all the time.

Know this: Enlightened Beings would never advocate poverty as a 'way to heaven' or 'way to nirvana'.

Jesus said blessed are the 'poor in spirit'. By poor, he meant 'meek', so he was talking about being 'humble'. He asked people to turn away from material wealth, where appropriate, because he clearly saw that it was their attachment to material goods which was blinding them to their true nature.

Buddha did not despise or condemn money, but merely turned away from material wealth because it did not serve his Soul's agenda. Yet, that did not mean he could not manifest wealth if he truly wanted to! At that time, however, it was important for him to show the people that finding the Riches of the Inner Self was more important than simply having material pleasures.

Buddha never said you couldn't have both, just that it was harder for those trapped in material desires to really know themselves.

All enlightened beings have said this.

Lao Tzu said, 'Simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.'

Often a person who returns to their Inner Being will seek a more simplistic lifestyle. Yet, that doesn't necessarily mean they can't have wealth, or won't have wealth.

OSHO was a master who constantly sought to shake up people's narrow conceptualisation of what it meant to be 'spiritual'. He sought to destroy 'fixed ideas' of what an enlightened master should be like. He was ultimately brought down by the agenda of a 'big brother' authority that hated him, because he was undermining the egoic structure of society, but his work lives on, and continues to spread posthumously today as the world becomes more self-aware.

When you choose to live your life on purpose, with integrity, you will surely come to know that you can have both material and spiritual comforts.

However, usually putting your spiritual nature first is vital, else you run the risk of falling into the illusion that material comforts alone will bring you the happiness you seek.

Seek your Spiritual Self first, and everything else will be added. This is the truth and ground of your Being.

If you are 'spiritual', know this: you can have and enjoy money, so long as you are not attached to it, and so long as you are not seeking to find your sense of self through having 'more and more money'.

It's certainly not 'spiritual materialism' to accept money when following your inner calling and using your gifts to help others -- especially if those gifts happen to be spiritual ones! The concept of 'spiritual materialism' is just a nonsense label created by those trapped in their egoic minds.

When people stop equating 'spirituality' with 'poverty', then many more people in the world will stop rejecting their innate spirituality.

Dealing with conflicts in your relationships

Have you noticed, when a new person enters your life, however fleetingly, energies often surface to be dealt with.

If you find yourself in conflict with someone, step back a little, breathe... and let go. Give yourself, and them some space. An inner asking for peace will underpin any initial desire to lash out.

This doesn't mean you will become a doormat, and allow others to walk over you. Rather, you will find that you will be able to stand up for yourself in a grounded, balanced way, rather than adding fuel to the fire.

If you sit with the uncomfortable energy, and simply observe your reactive nature, you will eventually find the 'irritation' calming down as you continue to observe it. Then, when you are more centered in your own being, you will find more space to respond effectively.

As you calm down, go within. Put your hand on your heart, breathe deeply and calmly and say to yourself:

"My co-operation with Divine Order replaces all sense of negative competition and conflict. I love myself and see the highest in myself and the other person."

Say a few times, until the affirmation settles. Practice the 'feeling', rather than just saying the words.

Act, when you feel guided to.

A reiki story

Julie found that every day had a dullness about it, a sameness about it. She would get up, prepare the kids' packed lunches, have breakfast with her husband, drive the children to school, sitting in traffic for up to half an hour, even though the school was only 3 miles away, and then head off to work in the city, jumping on the tube at Brixton, in South East London.

Getting to work was unpleasant as she was squashed in on every side, and some people clearly didn't bathe before getting on!

Julie felt nauseous at times when she inhaled a whiff of someone else’s sweaty body odour, or if she had the stale smell of cigarettes blown into her face.

All she could do was close her eyes and pretend she was vacationing somewhere far away, on a beautiful sandy beach!

"I don't remember signing up for THIS LIFE," she fumed inside. “Look at all those A-List celebs, pop stars, footballers and footballers' wives… they don't have to do this journey to hell every day."

Once at Liverpool Street, she bumped along with the hundreds of other commuters along the main road and then turned into a side street to access one of several dull, grey buildings, which usually had some urine running out from the corner of the entrance, where someone had 'been' in the early hours of the morning.

She sat in front of her PC, opened her emails, and began to prepare for her day of endless admin. By early afternoon, even with three coffees, she felt depleted and struggled to be friendly towards her colleagues. Her back ached from sitting for extended periods, and she was sure she was getting RSI from typing at the PC! Who invented these damn things anyway?!

Julie's day finished in the same monotonous way as it had started. She returned on a packed commuter train, picked up her children, prepared dinner in the microwave, and just about managed to watch something on TV before falling into bed, with a gazillion thoughts whirling inside her head about tomorrow and what the future would hold for her.

Frustratingly, Julie took about half an hour to go to sleep even though she was knackered. To make matters worse, Julie's mother Sarah had recently passed away, and Julie was missing her evening conversations with her mum. Sarah had always been there for Julie when Julie was feeling overwhelmed, or confused. Her father John had dementia now, and Julie felt the strain of trying to communicate with him. He rarely remembered who she was, and often forgot that Sarah had passed on, asking Julie where her mother was?! Sometimes it was just too much for Julie to bear.

Julie's husband noticed that Julie wasn't herself.  Her colleagues also noticed that all was not well, as Julie rarely smiled, and only spoke when she was asked a direct question.

Eventually, Julie went to her GP and was given prescription tablets to cope with her onset depression.

Obediently, Julie went to the pharmacy to get the pills but they sat on her bedside table each night. She was more worried about the long-term effects of becoming dependent on those drugs, even though she was also worried about her mental health.

Then, one day at work, a colleague of Julie's suggested she go to a local Reiki master called Anne for a Reiki treatment.

Julie was suspicious. Even though she hadn't taken the prescribed drugs, she believed in medicine on the whole. If you have a headache, you take a pill and it goes away. If you have diarrhoea, you take some drugs for it, and problem sorted.

Reiki and 'energy medicine'? What a load of rubbish!

However, Julie liked Rob, and trusted his opinion. He always had lots of energy, and was liked by the whole office. He never said a bad word about anyone and he never preached to anyone about what they 'should' do. Rob only recommended Reiki to Julie because he'd tried it himself, out of curiosity, and loved it!

When Julie turned up at the clinic, she felt nervous. What was she getting herself into? Maybe she should just sneak out now, whilst she had the chance…

Too late!

Suddenly, a cheery voice said 'hello Julie, just follow me then'.

Anne had appeared in front of her, dressed in an elegant, white Japanese outfit, made from embroidered silk.

Anne was a pretty, young woman in her mid 30s, with sparkling green eyes and shoulder length, silky blonde hair. She had a natural warmth about her, Julie noticed.

Actually, she was far different than Julie had imagined. Julie thought a Reiki master should have been at least 50 or 60 years old, with grey hair, and perhaps a little on the plump side! Anne was none of that!

The treatment room was set up with a massage couch, and a table and couple of chairs for the consultation. The rooms smelt clean and fresh, but not clinical, and there was a small votive candle burning in the room, which created a sense of calm inside Julie.

Anne first talked to Julie about the Reiki treatment, explaining that she would take a brief history of what was going on in Julie’s life and that Julie could share as much or as little as she liked.

She explained that Julie would be lying down for the whole treatment, but did not need to remove any clothes. Anne also set Julie's mind at ease by stating that she would not be placing her hands on any private areas.

Julie felt relaxed by Anne's tone of voice, and her friendly matter-of-fact approach. Julie hated wishy-washy nonsense and had feared that Anne would start talking about Angels and Fairies. Thank goodness there wasn't any of that!

Julie learned that all she had to do was relax and be open to the healing process, and it would be up to her, essentially, how that healing took place. Anne explained that the body had its own wisdom and intelligence, and that it would co-operate with Reiki.

"The doctor dresses the wound, and God heals it," Anne explained. Julie liked that expression!

Anne further explained she was simply a conduit for Ki, or energy, to move through, and that Julie's body would draw on it whenever it was most needed.

Julie felt more and more relaxed, and more and more open to Reiki. It just felt right, although she couldn't articulate it.

Anne explained that Reiki was not a diagnostic tool, and that her doctor (not Anne) was medically responsible for her. "My hands activate the movement of energy, and Ki does the healing and cleansing of the physical and energy body," Anne said reassuringly.

Julie nodded, not quite sure what Anne meant.

"Diagnosing conditions is not required by energy healers or Reiki practitioners. In fact, their ‘diagnosis’ is usually more to do with their ego or trying to give what a client expects rather than just letting Reiki do the work," Anne continued.

Julie again nodded.

Julie was getting the gist of what Reiki was, but didn't feel she needed to know everything at this stage.

The Ki, Anne explained, would wash through her energetic pathways, clearing stagnant energy out, which would initiate change at the cellular level for Julie, leading to a cascade of changes at different levels: physical, mental and emotional.

Anne could not foresee or foretell what that change might be, and it would depend on what Julie needed.

There was a need to let go and trust the process, which was not the same as 'belief'. Anne explained that Reiki had been used successfully on pets, and the positive healing results showed that Reiki was a real energy, as you can't trick a dog or cat into 'believing in Reiki'.

Anne said that whilst she had many successful client stories, she could not promise a particular outcome for Julie. They had to work together to see what the result would be. It was also good to set a baseline of three sessions, just in case the treatment stirred up emotions that were buried, so that Reiki could address these underlying issues in subsequent treatments.

Anne wanted Julie to feel supported, but not obligated to return. The choice was entirely hers!

Anne then asked Julie why she was here, and Julie quietly stated she had been diagnosed as depressed. When Anne asked if Julie knew what might be causing that, Julie found herself pouring her heart out about the tremendous difficulty she was having with her daily grind, her mother’s recent passing and her father's dementia.

Anne's face always stayed serene and non-judgmental, and Julie's fears about 'being judged' vanished. It was wonderful to be listened to. Rarely, in hospital settings had she been given the time to fully express herself. Doctors were under too much pressure to see the next patient.

Julie lay on the massage couch with her eyes open for the first few minutes, even though she was told by Anne to close her eyes and let go.

Try as she might, she couldn't relax, as her mind immediately filled up with agitated thoughts about what was going to happen later that day, what she had forgotten to do, and so on... how on earth was she going to enjoy this Reiki treatment, she just had no idea!

Anne simply smiled as she sat on a chair directly behind Julie’s head, and positioned both palms under the back of Julie's head.

Julie's thoughts were still spinning fast but underneath she could feel a warmth coming from Anne’s hands at the back of her head... what was that?! There was a light tingling now, and the heat was increasing too, but it wasn't unpleasant - in fact, it was very soothing!

As Julie noticed the heat more and more, her thoughts became less and less insistent… Julie found herself drifting off…

Julie suddenly woke up... Anne was no longer positioned behind Julie but was now over Julie's body with her hands firmly resting on Julie's abdomen. How long had she been asleep? Julie didn’t know... it could have been five minutes or twenty-five minutes.

Again, Julie noticed a sensation of heat at her abdomen, again with funny 'tingling' sensations running down her torso into her upper thighs. Her tummy was also rumbling, even though she wasn’t hungry. These sensations were weird but extremely comforting at the same time… Julie couldn't explain it.

Julie watched the process but her eyelids were heavy again, and then she was fast asleep again...

She let out a few grunts as she snored away, drifting in and out of consciousness but, most of the time, she was aware of what was going on.

Anne’s voice said, “tummy rumbles and snoring are all part of the releasing process, just go with it.”

From time to time, dream-like images flashed across the screen of her mind. She intuitively knew what these pictures meant at the time but they faded quickly into the background, as if the moment of recognition released them in some way.

After the treatment, Julie woke up gently, as Anne gently touched Julie's shoulders and softly spoke the words, 'it's time to wake up Julie... in your own time now... no rush."

As Julie's awareness came back to the here and now, she opened her eyes fully and sat up gently with help from Anne. She felt a little dazed and her mouth felt strangely dry. Anne gave her a glass of water, commenting that this 'side effect' of energy treatments was quite common, and a good sign.

“The body is made up of 70% water, and it seems to require more water when we draw upon Reiki for healing and balancing,” Anne pointed out.

Julie related some of her observations to Anne, who nodded approvingly. These experiences were quite common, apparently, but the type and degree of these sensations changed each time, because the client's energy field would always be different each time. The landscape of the body was constantly shifting.

Julie’s body sensations, and the feeling of heat throughout the treatment, indicated that something tangible had occurred but Julie found she didn't know what, and couldn't explain it.

She was stunned that she had been able to relax so quickly, and was somewhat embarrassed by her snoring but Anne laughed in a non-judgmental way, explaining that it was a very good sign that Julie was releasing deep-seated tension and stress.

Julie couldn't believe the 'quick results' given her extreme difficulty in going to sleep. She had almost given up hope!

"I'd like to come back for a follow-up treatment," Julie immediately told Anne, "but is there anything else I can do in the meantime? Is there some way of helping myself?"

Anne smiled reassuringly again.

As well as coming along for a further treatment or two, Anne recommended that Julie learn to 'give Reiki to herself'. This was taught in a foundation class called Reiki First Degree, or Reiki One.

Julie was surprised to learn that she could “give Reiki to herself” but Anne said she had started in the exact same way. She had some treatments and then learnt to give Reiki to herself, which was called 'self-treating' in the Reiki system. As the energy system purified itself, eventually one could learn more and start giving effective Reiki treatments to others.

Within a month Julie found herself sitting in a small class of people at Anne's beautifully kept 2-bedroom flat in Dulwich, a leafy green part of London. Who knew?!

Anne’s leafy green road was a far cry from the sights and smells of piss-alley, and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Four other students were women and there was one guy, who was quiet but very charming. Anne explained to the group that, sadly, many men were simply 'not interested' in Reiki but that this was changing thanks to the bravery of men like Tom, who was sitting in the class today.

Tom smiled, a little embarrassed.

Each person was of a different age and economic background, so their reasons for joining the course differed. A few were complementary health practitioners already, and wanted to learn Reiki as a new skill to offer their clients, whilst the others had sick family members they wanted to help, and Tom said he was just curious about energy from a young age and wanted to know more.

Anne told them that they must all focus on healing themselves first, as this was the most crucial aspect of the system known as Reiki. Healing would happen as it was meant to.

Julie, along with Tom and the others, found the course immensely practical.

They learnt how to give themselves Reiki, and how to meditate using Reiki, which many thought was supposed to be done a particular way but finally realised that it was a fluid practice which was helped enormously by having access to Reiki.

As well as meditating and 'self-treating', the group learned to give Reiki to each other. This was a fun experience, because everybody's body was so different. It was also a lot easier to sense the movement of Ki through another person's body than when self-treating. Anne explained, if you say to a goldfish in a bowl, 'how's the water?' the fish may reply 'what water?' It's so used to its environment, that it doesn't notice anymore!

Everyone was laughing that a fish could talk back, and Tom threatened to bring his fish tank in the following day!

As the course progressed, Julie felt more and more 'connected' to her body, and realised that she had, in fact, been disconnected for a long time. She felt more grounded, and more energised than she had felt in ages.

During the tea and biscuit breaks, she opted for green tea, preferring to stay away from coffee. She still liked the smell and taste of coffee, but realised how dehydrating it was on the body! Anne agreed.

All the students found themselves drinking a lot more water than they were used to, due to the effect of using more Ki to purify the energy channels, and running to the toilet a lot more often as a consequence.

Julie loved the physical sensations of Ki such as tingling, heat and rushes of energy. This was the 'physical proof' she needed to open herself even more to the experiences she was having.

Julie quickly came to the realisation that all humans are really energetic or spiritual beings, and this new knowledge gave her straightaway a lightness and buoyancy she had not felt in years! It offered hope to her world, which had become sullied by a heavy materialism and repetitive grind that seemed to go nowhere.

Julie was amazed at how everyone perceived their experience of Reiki differently, and she was excited about some feedback from one member of her class who could read the colours in her aura, and she them change. Julie realised that we all learn from each other, if we're open enough.

One of the most illuminating, yet inexplicable, experiences was the attunement process which initiated the students into the system of Reiki. All the students were asked to sit together in a circle to receive their attunement, known as "reiju" in the East. This would link them with Reiki forever.

Anne mentioned the purpose of the attunement was to link each student more fully to their Higher Self, or Inner Being, and to step up the amount of Ki that could move through the physical body. She simply explained that the Universe was made up of different frequencies, and that Reiki was a particular bandwidth of frequency that we humans could have access to, if we were drawn to learning Reiki for ourselves.

The body was tuned to the particular frequency, just like tuning a guitar or some other instrument. The Reiki master was the ‘tuning fork’.

Anne asked the students to close their eyes, and put their hands in ‘prayer position’ in front of their heart. She explained she would be using the power of intention and a few simple gestures to anchor the energy in their fields.

When Anne stepped in front of Julie, Julie had her eyes closed but her senses were acutely alert, and she felt an extraordinary sense of being cushioned and supported.

Towards the end of the training, the students were excited about their experiences which proved an otherworldly reality existed beyond their five senses.

Why didn't everyone know about this? What would happen if everyone else did know about this?

Tom mentioned that many scientists didn't believe in Reiki because it couldn't be scientifically proven. Julie replied that the effects of Reiki were certainly measureable but that Big Pharma didn't want to investigate it in a genuine way because, surprise, surprise, there was no money in it.

Anne cautioned against wanting to go out and tell everyone about Reiki, no matter how great it was. People who needed it, or wanted to find out, would find Reiki in their own way. Anne reminded them that Reiki was ‘just another way’, not ‘the only way’ up the mountain.

Julie found that consciously working with Ki fundamentally changed her view of the world.

She no longer thought of herself as just a physical body that would wear out and die, but now knew that she was much greater than the small 'me' she saw in the mirror each day.

She also felt a profound sense of peace around her mother's passing. She didn't have to imagine it, or pretend her mother was in 'heaven' somewhere. It was far more visceral than that. Julie had a strong knowing her mother had moved from her bodily form to the formless realm of energy once again, and that they were still very much connected. She had felt her mother's presence during a healing treatment in class, given by another student… in fact, she had felt another pair of hands on her even though there was only one person giving the treatment!

Julie didn't care what others thought. She knew what she felt was true -- for her anyway.

She hadn't bought another person's story just to feel better about herself; this was her own story, and it felt authentic. Julie wasn't going to give it up to please someone else's narrow perception of life. Her view of life felt fresh and expansive.

Julie tried to explain it all to her family as they sat around the dining room table, listening to her Reiki adventures. She did her best but, somehow, words were not adequate. She promised to give all of them a Reiki treatment, so they could see for themselves!

Julie noticed quite a few improvements after her Reiki training. Her back was no longer stiff and sore like before the class and her sense of lightness and strength improved as she continued to self-treat each day.

She also found that she naturally had more patience with her father’s changes. Sure, his dementia wasn't going to magically disappear but she saw the positive in him again, and was able to laugh, rather than react defensively, when her father didn't remember that Sarah wasn’t around. Julie noticed that John tended to remember things more clearly whenever she gave him Reiki. And there was a peacefulness about him, that he didn't have before.

Julie kept in touch with her classmates, meeting up for tea or the occasional coffee from time to time. Since Julie had committed to Reiki and the path of self-healing, everything had changed dramatically in a short space of time. She was more confident, and truly had found a new light within. Her newfound sense of hope and enjoyment made her a pleasure to be around at work, and at home.

Julie's husband was impressed and curious to know more - he didn't believe in Reiki at first but found himself becoming more and more curious about it as he witnessed the changes in her.

Julie said, “I am looking with new eyes at my old world, and I am so very grateful.”

Julie's husband was very supportive, which Julie was thankful for. One of the other course participants had a husband who was very critical and unsupportive, but Anne said everything is perfectly ordered in the Universe, we must just learn to trust that order, and deal with our life in the best way we can.

Julie wondered if her healing abilities would fade, or if her perceptions about life would become so heavily tarnished again.

Anne was a great mentor and reminded her that she could grow lazy and let her perceptions slide back to where they were once were but that it would be very difficult for that to happen because of Julie's experiences, and her commitment to keep learning. Even if she did let her practice of self-treating slide, Ki would never fully disappear because she was an energetic being, and she now had the knowledge and wisdom to return to Reiki at anytime.

"We all have that great diamond within us - we just need to continue to polish it," Anne reminded Julie.

At home, over the following weeks and months, Julie continued to find herself attracted to new interests. After reading the benefits of eating more 'leafy greens' and 'going organic' to get the maximum nutrition, she prepared her children's packed lunch with healthy choices, and she cooked simple yet delicious meals when she came home from work. She actually enjoyed preparing the food and then cooking it for her family, and noticed that her newfound connection to cooking helped her unwind from any stresses during the day.

The dreadful underground commute to hell and back was replaced by a bike ride through the back streets and beautiful parks of London.

She managed to cut her working days down to 4 instead of 5, skilfully negotiating new terms with her boss, and she nearly always took her lunch break overlooking a beautiful pond in the park across the road, rather than eating at her desk.

Occasionally, Julie experienced set-backs in her life but she felt she was seeing them in much more positive light than she would have before.  She felt an inner strength and ease that was not there before, and she no longer felt the need to compare herself to others. What joy!

She replaced her gossip magazines with stimulating reads like the Conversations with God series by spiritual author Neale Donald Waslch, and found that these books complemented her new understanding of herself as an energy being.

In fact, she couldn't stop reading, and all her friends really found her new perspective on life contagious - well, most of them. Some of her old friends and colleagues reacted badly, and thought she had become preachy, but Julie didn't care about their mental projections anymore. She always felt the joy of sharing what she knew, and she certainly never told anyone what to do.

As she continued down the path of energy healing and self-inquiry, Julie continued to make new friendships that supported her new vision of herself as a spiritual being, having a human experience.

One thing was for sure, Julie knew that she was at the beginning of an incredible journey. She had been given a new lease of life, and she wasn't going to waste a moment of it!

Experience the positive power of change with Bach Flower Essence 'Walnut'.

Are you going through tremendous change in your life right now?

Are you moving home, getting married or getting divorced, starting a new job or facing redundancy, changing careers, having a baby, going back to work after maternity leave, or any other type of major change?

If so, 'walnut' is for you!

Known as the 'link breaker', walnut offers protection when we find ourselves experiencing a major change, or several major changes, in our lives.

If we are in a negative 'Walnut' state, we may wish to go forward but be held back, tied to the past by forces we may or may not recognise.

This remedy helps us to break the bond with our past, so we can move on with our lives more easily. The vibration of 'walnut' acts to make transitions easier, so we can benefit from the experience, leaving our doubts behind us, allowing us to concentrate on new goals in the here and now. When external influences no longer hamper our true vision, life becomes more enjoyable!

Walnut, because of its ability to break ties with the past and allow a person to go forward with confidence, can be used to help treat addictions. It is commonly used for treating nicotine addiction.

It can also have a stabilising effect upon common body "adjustments" (made by chiropractors, oesteopaths, spiritual restructuring practitioners and so on) where chronic sufferers may need to have the same adjustments made time and again.

Walnut can be safely used for helping our pets transition too; for example, when moving them to a new home/location, or when they are first separated from their mother and handed over to a new owner.

Further notes about The Bach Flower Remedies:

For those who are new to taking these essences, they must not be taken neat - they need the vibration of water to 'unlock' their power.

I find these 'vibrational' remedies are most effective after an SRT clearing (http://www.energytherapy.biz/spiritualresponsetherapy/), and frequently recommend them to clients to support their healing journey/process after a session. After an SRT clearing, the subconscious mind of the client is clear from much negative programming, and thus the client is more open to the subtle healing power that is to be found in each of the Bach Flower(s) recommended.

Humanity's Blossoming: The rise of the Lotus Flower

The symbol of the Indian lotus (often called 'lotus flower') has been a spiritual symbol in the East for thousands of years. The spiritual meaning of the lotus flower is, perhaps, even more relevant for humanity today as we go through tremendous upheaval in virtually every area of our lives.

The lotus flower grows from the bottom of muddy streams and ponds to rise above the water and blooms in a display of breathtaking brilliance. It represents being fully rooted in the material world (the earth) yet continually aspiring towards the divine (the sun).

The lotus flower lives in the muddy water yet remains unsoiled.

This is the path of the human who is awakening - to work through the 'mud' of life, and rise above it - for the benefit of all mankind.

We have to take the 'sticky', 'muddy', 'dirty', uncomfortable energy of our lives and transform it into something incredibly beautiful. We can wallow in the mud, or reach higher. The choice is always ours.

When each of us here understands that we are, at our essence, energy expressing through a human form, then we will understand and embrace this message fully.

If we cannot recognise the energetic essence of ourselves, if we are unable to find our true nature hidden behind the layers of the personality self, then we will not know our oneness with all of life, and all of the extraordinary beauty and power at our fingertips.

Wake up humanity - your time has come to shine!

The Law of Attraction: Learning to move up the 'Emotional Scale'

Your emotions are precise indicators of where you are standing, vibrationally speaking.

Once you understand the emotional scale* and your emotional set points, on any subject, you will be able to 'clean up' those areas of your life which aren't working for you. If you have no awareness of the inner dimensions of your reality, then it will be impossible.

Below you will see the emotional scale, as given by Abraham-Hicks:

You will be somewhere on this scale (the words don't matter so much as the frequencies behind the words) when you focus on a particular area/topic of your life. The diagram shows the scale, split into an upward and downward spiral, but they are essentially one fluid scale.

You will tend to be at the top, if that area is working for you, and you will tend to be at the bottom if an area is not working.

The three major areas that come up again and again for all of us, are money, health and personal relationships...

One key thing to understand is that you can't jump from feeling grumpy, negative feelings to feeling suddenly positive and upbeat. These vibrations are too different in their frequencies.

Another vital, and similar key, is that you must incrementally reach for better feeling thoughts by focusing on 'wanted'. This is not usually easy for the beginner because they are very practiced in offering an 'unwanted' vibration, rather than a 'wanted' vibration. As with all skills, it takes time and patience, along with depth of understanding.

After covering the mechanics of moving up the emotional scale in class, my students were invited to go home and practice on an area that needed cleaning up.  One of my students decided to focus on the area of personal relationships, as she felt she was being spoken to disrespectfully by her boss (who we will call 'Ms X').

She felt that Mis X distrusted her and often spoke to her with animosity, which was clearly an 'unwanted' situation.

Contrasting, or unwanted situations, lead to clarity about we really want to bring into our lives. As my student focused on the unwanted situation, it was easy to identify the 'wanted' solution: my student wanted to be spoken to with love, respect and appreciation by her boss, Ms X.

Unfortunately, her initial attempt to move up the emotional scale was hampered by trying to jump vibrational ranges. She also tended to magnify her negative feelings by refocusing on the 'unwanted' aspects of the relationship:

Student's initial attempt (my comments in brackets):

1. It feels horrible when Ms X dumps this negativity on me (starting point, identifying where she was standing)
2. I feel really bad about myself when she treats me so poor! (student feeling worse, student magnifies the negative energy here)
3. I don’t understand why she has to be so awful and how she can think it’s okay to behave so poorly (feeling worse, blame energy)
4. Strangely, I think perhaps she doesn’t fully realise what she is doing (feeling better, student is shifting to acknowledge another perspective)
5. She operates in the world from a fear and lack perspective and this makes her panic (feeling slightly better than the previous statement; student trying to see why she might be behaving as she does. However, there is still some judgment here)
6. There is so much fear around her ability to communicate and this makes her communication very poor (student still spinning around in the 'mucky' vibration)
7. She is a woman in a man’s world (finance) and has a lot to prove (feeling worse, this may be true but it doesn't help my student's vibration)
8. But this doesn’t excuse her poor behaviour (feeling much worse, moving into blame energy again)
9. I know she can be kind (feeling improvement again, shift upwards by acknowledging the positive behaviour of Ms X)
10. She showed thoughtfulness and gave me flowers and a card for my birthday (feeling better, using a real life situation to transmute the energy)
11. When I spoke to her about  her communication at the end of last year she seemed to take on board the points I made about her communication (feeling better, student is acknowledging she is being listened to)
12. But then this happened again last week and I feel we are back at Square 1! (feeling a lot worse, student focuses stronlgy back on the negativity and blame)
13. But in the greater scheme I have had opportunity to stand up for myself on that occasion (feeling better, student is acknowledging her own power)
14. I have had opportunity to say what behaviour I will not accept (feeling better, student is owning her power, seeing the gift of the situation)
15. I have gotten very angry which is better than victim mode (feeling better, as this is a true statement, anger is better than powerlessness)
16. I am starting to believe that I deserved to be treated better than this (feeling about the same, no change)
17. That I am worthy of respect, love and kindness (feeling better)
18. I deserve to be treated well (feeling about the same as the last statement)

Overall, after the exercise in deliberate creation, my student felt there was some improvement in her vibration but the negative 'sticky' or 'muddy' energy was still there. Some of the energy had shifted but not all.

So, during class, we refocused on the 'wanted aspects' and I guided my student to maintain consistency in moving up the emotional scale.

We started from the beginning again, consciously and deliberately moving up the scale to consciously change her emotional 'set points' around this person/situation.  You can call these set points "emotional triggers".

1. It feels horrible when Ms X dumps her negativity on me (starting point)
2. Maybe she doesn’t realise what she’s doing? (feeling better, acknowledging awareness of the other person's perspective)
3. I have seen her be both kind and considerate (feeling better, we used a real life event as a touchstone)
4. She showed real thoughtfulness and gave me flowers and a card for my birthday – that was really nice! (feeling better, magnifying the energy of 'wanted')
5. I’ve realised that her negativity doesn’t have to affect me so much (feeling better, more empowering talk)
6. Only my reaction to her can pinch me off from my Source of Wellbeing (feeling better, acknowledgement of student's vibrational power, that she is in control of her emotions)
7. I know that as I only give my attention to her positive aspects, only positive aspects can be shown to me (feeling better, another statement of truth)
8. I know that X isn’t the monster I’ve made her out to be (feeling better, my student acknowledging her own role in this)
9. I know that I deserve to be treated well (student doing well here, acknowledging self-esteem)
10. I like knowing that I can stand up for myself in a peaceful way. (feeling better)
11. This is a chance for me to know and demonstrate Who I Really Am! (feeling much better now, empowerment)
12. I now allow myself to see the best in Ms X (feeling better, statement of clear intent)
13. As I change my point of attraction, I will only rendezvous with X when she is in a better-feeling place (feeling even better, statement of vibrational truth)
14. From this point of attraction, Ms X will begin to see and appreciate only the best in me (feeling very good here, understanding the nature of vibration, and how we attract certain experiences based on our vibration)
15. As I maintain my connection to Source, Ms X benefits from my expanded perspective (feeling better, plus acknowledging statement of spiritual truth)
16. I really do appreciate many qualities in my boss (I asked my student to list some here...)
17. I appreciate many aspects of the work I do (I suggested she try to list some… e.g. security, stability etc)
18. I realise that, for the most part, I am respected by my colleagues and my boss (student feeling very good, virtually all of the negative energy had shifted by now)
19. I also respect and honour them. (feeling happy... demonstrating compassion, tolerance and forgiveness)
20. I deserve to be treated well, and I AM. (student now fully aligned with her desire = feelings of love, freedom and empowerment)

In just a few statements, my student cleaned up her vibration around a situation that had been troubling her for months!!

Within just a few days of changing the energy around this situation, her boss dramatically changed her behaviour towards her. This is the 'magic' of cleaning up one's energy, and one's vibrational set points. This is THE SECRET, demonstrated.

Life is fluid, flexible... and ever changing. We are constantly changing but, if we keep unconsciously choosing the same reactive patterns, then nothing appears to change for us.

We can demand that others change - but really, it's up to us! When we change, everything else changes.

Even if it doesn't change in the way we would hope, then we find we are no longer affected by it.

Have your senses become 'deadened' or are they truly 'alive'?

As many of us get older, we often miss the sense of aliveness that we had when we were younger, not realising that it is more to do with our habits, than our 'ageing' biology.

Have you noticed how much you appreciate a hearty meal, after you've been ill, and true hunger returns?

Ask yourself, how often do you eat, just because it's 'lunchtime' or 'dinnertime', or because you're at a social event where it's 'impolite' not to eat.

Like Pavlov's dogs, perhaps your hunger has more to do with a default, programmed response, than really listening to what your body needs in each moment?

Have you noticed how much you appreciate a pure glass of refreshing water if the weather is scorching hot, and you've become sharply aware of your dehydration?

If your lips, mouth and throat are parched, just a few drops of cool, crystal clear water on them can feel like utter bliss!

Have you noticed how much you appreciate a good night's sleep when you've pushed yourself to the point of exhaustion? Your head hits the pillow and you simply melt.

Whilst these extremes can teach us to appreciate life, they are not necessary to cultivate that inner sense of aliveness again.

When students (from all walks of life) come along to learn about their life force, and 'energy body', during a Reiki or SRT course for example, their physical bodies start to become much more 'fine tuned' as a result of the energy balancing that happens.

Depending on the student, there may be a detoxification of the entire system, which can be rather uncomfortable. Much like having a cold or flu, the body releases the toxins that have built up in the intercellular and extracellular matrix.

As students continue down the path of 'self-healing', there is much less of a need for addictive foods and drinks, including stimulants and sedatives, for example, caffeine, soft drinks and the number one 'sense deadener' alcohol.

They begin to listen to their bodies, rather than forcing the body to comply with the artificial tastes that they have become used to.

They become more aware of patterns that aren't serving them, especially addictive foods and drinks.

You can notice for yourself by cultivating the daily practice of observing yourself... your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions.

Notice just how yummy ice cream, biscuits, and sugary foods "taste" when you feel emotionally grumpy or out-of-balance. When life doesn't taste so good, we try to fill it with 'sweet things'. As human beings, we are very creative at avoiding our pain.

Notice how alcohol is toxic for the body, especially the brain cells. Notice how your brain and body feel numb when you drink -- alcohol is dehydrating, regardless of whether it's wine, beer or spirits -- and how you feel disconnected and out of balance in the morning (hangover). You've poisoned yourself for a 'good time', and you may even look forward to creating this feeling of deadness inside of you as your energy system struggles to wake up - coffee to kick-start the system, anyone?

Notice how sugary drinks give you a temporary lift, and then crash your system. If you drink Diet Coke, or Pepsi Max, or Coca-Cola Zero, that is probably even worse. Artificial sweeteners in these drinks are often toxic -- Coca Cola puts aspartame and acesulfame potassium in their diet drinks -- and adversely affect a person's appetite control, meaning they are less able to gauge energy consumption. These products also create a fake sense of 'thirst', leading consumers to drink more of these energy-deadening products.

Of all the energy drinks currently on the market, Red Bull is probably one of the most misleading, if not the most damaging... that's why their clever advertising tells you that it will 'give you wings'. Notice, rather, how it actually cuts the wings off you! Worryingly, it has been linked to cardiac arrests and kidney failure... but many people still go on drinking it.

The jury is out on whether Red Bull is safe or not, but when a product is this 'successful', making billions of dollars for its producers, are we really that naive to think they would alert us to the possibility of harm if they could get away with not alerting us?

I'm not saying to become an absolute purist, and avoid everything you like eating and drinking. It most likely wouldn't happen straight away in any case, even if you decided to give up everything 'bad' right now, because it takes time, patience and persistence to break ingrained patterns. The grooves of the mind run deep... some are like the grand canyon!!

Choose to practise more discernment in your life, in your everyday choices. Are your choices really 'life affirming', or are they 'life denying'?

The body is self-regulating and self-balancing... it is geared towards LIFE!

This is why the body will take a great deal of 'punishment' before giving up. A lot of damage happens insidiously, so when we experience 'illness' or 'disease', this is not actually a sudden event. It is rather a tipping of the scale, which then creates an opportunity to become aware of faulty choices. We should be grateful it has come to our attention!

To become more conscious, and thus more 'alive', practice watching yourself, that is the first thing. Become the witness... the observer.  The second is to spend more time in meditation. Just a few minutes a day... if you like, try an energy-based course, or class, that appeals to you... Reiki, SRT, Yoga, T'ai Chi and many others... these can all be used as forms of meditation.

Meditation causes a 'quickening' of the non-physical life-stream inside of you. With time, everything will seem brighter, more intense, more luminous. You will enjoy 'tasting life' again.

Western society tends to live at the surface... many of us live at the surface of our being, rather than at the centre. When was the last time you were still enough to feel your own heart beating, or to notice the quality of your own breath? These subtleties cannot be known, unless you choose to go beyond the periphery.

If you feel lost, or stuck, trying having a few energy healing sessions with an experienced practitioner. If you can, get a good recommendation from a friend! These sessions can help release inner blocks that are preventing you from experiencing the greater awareness you seek. As old patterns fall away, it becomes easier to embrace the new.

Of course there is a downside to all this: you won't fit in! You won't fit in with your friends, with society, with those who have a vested interest in keeping you just as you are. If you have courage, you will see the reactions of others and judge for yourself.

Are you ready for change?

Are you ready to change?

If so, have courage, and move forward in greater awareness.

Healing ourselves from the inside out

What is it that makes you, YOU?

https://www.facebook.com/CrystalDepthPhotography

Is it your name?  Is it your relationships with your family and friends? Is it your choices of food, your taste in clothing, or the things you like to do in your free time? Is it the type of job you do? Is it your beliefs, whether religious, political, social, or cultural? Is it your height, gender, weight, body size and shape?

Some or all of these facts will represent how you see yourself in the world, and how many others will see you as well.

Now, what if you were told that all the above, whilst they shape your perception of yourself, they do not fundamentally represent Who You Are.

What if you were told that all the above was just information “programmed” into your cellular memory banks?

So many people are caught up in misbeliefs such as, “I can’t help it, it’s my personality” or “it’s not my fault, it’s in my genes”, or “that’s just the way it is in my family”, and so forth.

This simply isn’t true, unless you call faulty perception “truth”. Everyone can change their programmed responses.

We routinely programme our subconscious mind to carry out repetitive tasks. If we learn a task sufficiently well, such as brushing our teeth or tying our shoelaces, it becomes a programmed habit, and we do it without even thinking about it.

We also programme ourselves in other ways, often without even realising it. For example, we may continue to buy the same brand of laundry liquid that our parents used to buy when we were growing up because there is an “inherited programme” of “safety and comfort” associated with that memory.
Many people are so completely identified with their personality and their life story that they don’t understand they can, in fact, change both.

We can all do this... but how?!

How do we change, not just on the surface, but deep from within? How do we access our healing potential to radically heal and transform our lives from the inside out?

I believe that the key is to understand, and embrace, Who We Really Are.  We must embrace our divine nature – that which lies hidden behind the personality self.

We were all born into this worldly existence, and we will all die and leave it, sooner or later – this much we do know.

If we will stop and deeply consider this fact, it begs the question of why such a passage exists?  And, herein lies one of the keys to the remembrance of our true nature. We are each an extension of a greater, compassionate Non-Physical Energy. We came from that Source and will return to that Source when we die (“Dissipate Identifying Energies”).

If we can hold this inner awareness and understanding throughout our human lives, then our lives will be so much richer for it. We will see differently, we will think differently, and we will ACT differently.

“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.”
Australian Aboriginal Proverb

If we take a droplet of water from the ocean, that droplet will have exactly the same properties as its source. There is no difference in quality, only in quantity. In like measure, we are made of the same substance as the Source from which we came, which some of us have called “God”.

Humanity is the “sum” of God, and we are all the sons and daughters of God.

We have inadvertently allowed ourselves to become separated from our own truth and this has lead to an inner and outer struggle of immense proportions. We are spiritually and emotionally bankrupt, which is reflected in the chaos and turmoil of our modern day lives.

We have been told at least two great lies – that we are separate from each other, and that we cannot heal ourselves. These lies have lead to feelings of disempowerment and disillusionment on a massive scale.

You are invited to move into awareness again, and self-realisation at the highest level. As we each come to remember our Non Physical essence, our world will come back into balance and wholeness.
Life isn't about avoiding difficult moments, is it?  I believe that it isn’t. Rather, life propels us forward through contrasting, or unwanted, situations. Yet, we must want to use our difficulties to transform ourselves into something grander, something greater.  It does not happen by default.

No one will ever have all the answers to life’s mysteries. Yet, that is not an excuse of a lack of inquiry into the unseen causes of our human lives.

There is a reason why you are currently in the job you are in, living in the house or apartment that you’re in, alone and happy, or lonely and unhappy, in a happy relationship, or in an unhappy relationship, why you have “the family from hell” or the most loving, caring family.

For every effect in our lives, there is a thought pattern that precedes and maintains it. If you really want to change your life, you have to take ownership. You have to stop blaming others for whatever is “wrong”.

You have to learn to bless everything and show gratitude for what you do have. This is no easy task, given our modern day propensity to blame anything and everything under the sun, except ourselves.
