Give thanks for your challenges

Give thanks for your challenges, because you have called them into your life to help shape your true preferences, and to know yourself at the deepest level.

Life is constantly evolving through duality, or polarity, and you are part of the Great Mystery, the Grand Design. We are each vital to Spirit's understanding - for we are part of the whole, and unique in our self-expression.

In our limited human form, we must seek to remember our Greater Self, for even small challenges will tend to drag the mind into worry and/or anxiety (future time), especially if we are asleep and unaware. For those of us who are aware, we have the opportunity to bring the conscious mind under the Will of the Divine Mind, which understands the nature of the lesson, and which can bring Grace to any situation, no matter how dire.

The greater the challenge (the greater its size and intensity), the more likely we are to be dragged into a state of worry and helplessness.

For example, you don't have enough money to pay your bills and you fear that you and your family may lose your home... or you are diagnosed with a serious illness, and you fear physical limitation and/or death... or you find out that someone close to you has betrayed and emotionally wounded you.

Even in the face of such great challenges (the three biggies are health, money and relationships), we must seek to understand that THIS moment is the only moment that exists, and our point of personal power to recreate ourselves anew.

Embrace whatever negative emotions surface and move through them, all the while seeking to draw closer to your True Self.

This very moment contains the Greatest Peace and is free of the mind's vacillation between past and future projections of worry, doubt, anxiety, bitterness, doom and gloom, and fear.

What state do you wish to create within your body and mind?  Go inside your heart, and ask yourself this question now. It could be love, strength, wisdom, courage, tolerance, forgiveness, or some other positive quality. You will get an intuitive sense of it.

You can be sure that the lesson is to go within and draw upon the Infinite Well of your own Being, which is unlimited in its Power.

Your task is to be HERE now, utterly present in your body, and in a state of relaxed watchfulness.

The more you practice watching your own mind (being the observer), the more you will be aware of its restlessness, which continually robs you of your true state of being, which is peace.

Practice being in the ETERNAL NOW, and your life will transform itself. Practice this at all times, but especially when things look bleak.

Give thanks for your challenges when they come - and move into greater awareness of Self.

Scheduled for surgery? You might want to read this!

Despite the overwhelming evidence that the subconscious mind records vast amounts of sensory data, way beyond the conscious mind's ability to assimilate it all, and the fact that this data is fully accessible and retrievable through hypnosis, many surgeons are still unaware of the potentially harmful effects of negative remarks made in the operating theatre, whilst the patient is sedated.

Just because the conscious mind is 'asleep', doesn't mean there isn't an effect on the consciousness of the person being operated on!

There is a great need for our surgeons to be especially mindful of their thoughts and emotions, especially when the patient being treated is open to suggestion. Yet how many are?  In an world where materialism appears to rule, not enough respect is given to the emotional impact of negative words on the patient's psyche.

Post-hypnotic suggestions can soothe or traumatise a patient recovering from surgery, and influence how that person recovers, or whether they recover at all.

Here is an excerpt from the best-selling book, 'Many Lives, Many Masters' by Dr Brian Weiss, first published back in 1994.

"'About the anesthesia. When they give you anesthesia, can you hear? You CAN hear!' She had answered her own question...

'Your mind is very much aware of what's going on. They were talking about my choking, about the possibility of me choking when they did the surgery on my throat.'

I remembered Catherine's vocal cord surgery, which was performed just a few months before her first appointment with me. She had been anxious prior to the surgery, but she was absolutely terrified upon awakening in the recovery room. It had taken the nursing staff hours to calm her. Now it appeared that what was said by the surgeons during the operation, during the time she was under deep anesthesia, had precipitated her terror.

My mind flipped back to medical school and my surgery rotation. I remembered the casual conversations during operations, while the patients were anesthetized. I remembered the jokes, the cursing, the arguments, and the surgeons' temper tantrums.

What had the patients heard, at a subconscious level? How much registered to affect their thoughts and emotions, their fears and anxieties, after they awakened?

Was the postoperative course, the patient’s very recovery from the surgery, influenced positively or negatively by the remarks made during the operation?

Had anyone died because of negative expectations overheard during surgery? Had they, feeling hopeless, just given up?"

The physical part of our experience is only a small part of our everyday lives - by far, the greater portion is the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our lives.

The next time you, or a loved one, are scheduled to have surgery, ask your surgeon to mind their language! If they don't understand, print out this article, and give them a copy!

The Spiritual Significance of the 2nd Solar Eclipse in 2013

A spectacular "ring of fire" (i.e. annular) solar eclipse will be visible from northern Australia during Friday morning local time (May 10th), treating lucky star gazers located in that region to their second solar eclipse in less than 6 months. An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is smaller than the Sun, causing the Sun to look like an annulus (ring), blocking most of the Sun's light.

It is also useful to note that we are still in the middle of a galactic alignment called "The Great Shift", witnessing the closing of a Great Cycle of Time and the beginning of another, as the foundations of a new Creation are being laid down for humanity.

These events are of major spiritual significance for all of us, however, since they are helping to birth a new consciousness.

If we take the hermetic laws "as above, so below", and "as within, so without", we can safely say that the birthing process will not be an easy one for humanity - but the outcome will be joyful (when it does arrive).

Those who are 'sensitive' to psychic energies will feel it most but everyone is being affected, whether they recognise it or not. The energetic effects of the eclipse occur up to two or three days before and afterwards, so if you're feeling highly strung, just know you're not alone!

A comment on our dual nature

You have parts of your nature (psychology) that are unforgiving, petty, and anger-filled, and you have parts that are loving, generous and compassionate.

Earth is now moving into a higher vibratory field (a new harmonic of expression) and everything is being stimulated at the deepest (and subtlest) levels.

Our worst and best natures are coming out as a result of this energetic shift upwards. Have you noticed?

The intensity of our individual and collective challenges has been increasing. Have you noticed?

All these challenges need to be faced with the Light of Awareness - and a new understanding of Who We Really Are.

The question in any moment is, which part of your Self will you choose to express?

Will you elevate and expand your consciousness by choosing love, peace and tolerance, or diminish it by choosing fear, hate and intolerance?

Everybody is perfect

Everybody is perfect... Every body is perfect, including yours.

It is only the false judgments that you have learnt from sources outside of your true self that keep you stuck in patterns of unworthiness and self-limitation.

Whether you are a man or a woman, stop comparing yourself to others, and simply start loving yourself again. This is not an ego-centric, narcissistic trip that puts you above all others. This is simply that you recognise your innate worth, that with which you were born.

God, which is Life, is everywhere. This includes inside of you, and inside of everyone else. The nature of duality means we forget who we are from time to time. Today, is the time to remind yourself of Who You Really Are.

The recognition that you are part of Life, and your commitment to love your Self will bring you a sense of grace; and if, perchance, you have been neglecting taking care of your body, the healthful solutions you are seeking will come to you more easily, if you stay in the vibration of self-acceptance. Judging yourself only locks you into your self-made prison of condemnation, and there is nothing worse than this.

The cells of your body are constantly renewing themselves, moment by moment, based on invisible energy attractor-patterns, and the dominant content of your everyday thoughts seep into the very fabric of your cellular matrix.

Therefore choose positive loving thoughts (high energy-attractor patterns) rather than unkind thoughts (low energy-attractor patterns).

Be kind to yourself and others.

Affirm, "I see the highest and best in myself and others."

And so it is.
